The presidential suite at the SH hotel Villa Gadea recently became an unexpected film set chosen for some of the scenes in Mr. Nice.
Among the main actors of the film we find Elsa Pataky who stayed at the SH hotel Villa Gadea while filming. The movie, based on the successful autobiographical book of the British marijuana and hashish dealer Howard Marks, is an Anglo-Spanish coproduction directed by Bernard Rose. Mr. Nice has also been filmed in Ciudad de la Luz film studio in Alicante. More info

The thermal circuit is one of our most popular facilities. It offers the chance to relax while you admire a spectacular view of the city, the Turia Gardens and the Palau de la Musica.
The circuit has two Jacuzzis of different temperatures and with different essences. Essence shower and sequential bi-thermal shower with chromotherapy and essences of your choice. Foot baths, sauna, Turkish bath, ice fountain, relax room with heated sunbeds and Solarium.
The Solarium is a room built from salt bricks, thick crystallised blocks of salt, with lighting on the inside, and tiled with salt.
The Solarium is designed for complementary treatment of asthma, chronic bronchitis and allergic illnesses of the respiratory system. The purifying and distilling action of the lungs is not just beneficial for asthmatics, but also for people that work in dusty or toxic environments, as well as for smokers. The treatment is also effective for people of all ages, including children. This treatment method is not new; it is known and used in many European countries, where there are a number of clinics located near or in natural salt mines.
However, due to the difficulty of the public in general to get to these clinics, the idea arose to make chambers out of blocks of salt, extracted from Himalayan salt mines some 100 to 300m in depth.

The Bioparc is located in the Parque de Cabecera del Turia and faithfully reproduces the natural habitats of 250 different species and is home to some 4,000 animals.
The new zoo is 100,000 m2, of which 80,000 m2 have been used in the first stage of construction.
